School Nutrition

What’s for lunch? Check My School Menus

Harvest of the month is a farm to school initiative that promotes a different locally grown food in the school cafeteria. For the month of January,Trumansburg is promoting New-York-grown potatoes. Potatoes are a good source of potassium, fiber, niacin, and vitamin B6. Also, tubers are high in Vitamin C.

On January 12th the cafeteria staff celebrated Harvest of the Month by providing a potato bar in all 3 cafeterias. Students had the opportunity to eat a baked potato with their choice of toppings. which included chili (veggie or chicken), broccoli, nacho cheese, black beans, and pulled pork.

Thank you to the food service department for providing a fun nutritious event for all 3 schools.

Students will have one iReady math lesson due by the end of the week on Friday.

7/8 Band: Mrs. Robertson is asking for your help getting your band students to practice their instruments! There is a lot of music to practice right now, and we are hitting a lull in progress as the material is becoming more challenging. The practice habits are not rising to the challenge! Some things that may help:

  • Get some weekend practice in! Students should bring their instruments at the end of the week and try to play at some point during the weekend.
  • Utilize after school time to practice in a practice room here at school.
  • Finish your school work during class or at home! Practice during studyhall (if you have one)!
  • Come practice in a practice room during tutorial!
